Stephen Bray, Mine Host, had never been to Halifax until 1982 when, driving through the town, he spotted the Borough Cafe which was up for sale. Within three months he had bought it and Inn-Cognito was born.
Today he is still there serving third generation customers and he says the reason for his longevity is the traditional taste of local diners married with his zest to get them to try something new.
The basic menu covers all bases but it is the specials menu that really shines. Choices range from Mediterranean dishes, through Eastern Europe, and as far reaching as the Americas.
